How Legend Mode works

You start at age 17 with a rating close to 60. Each season you play ten key matches; in almost all of them a decisive moment comes where you choose what to do based on your position: shoot, take on a defender, thread a pass, anticipate or save a one-on-one. The rest of the season is simulated based on your level and minutes.

Your minutes depend on the competition for your position: at a big club you may end up on the bench, at a modest one you'll be a starter. At the end of the year you choose your pre-season focus, receive offers from other clubs and make dressing room decisions. Young players grow fast; after 30 you have to look after your body.

You earn legend points with goals, assists, good ratings, titles, awards and matches for your national team. World Cup every four years from 2030 and continental tournament in 2028, 2032 and beyond.

The game goes on off the pitch too: your fame grows with goals, titles and controversial quotes, and attracts sponsorships, offers and votes for the Ballon d'Or. After matches, answer the press carefully, because each answer can unite or divide the dressing room, win you the coach's trust or cost you a suspension. With your salary you can buy in the shop everything from custom boots and a video analyst to a mansion, a yacht or a stadium with your name on it.
